Shell Indefatigable Field Decommissioning Project

The Indefatigable (Inde) gas field operated by Shell, consists of six platforms known as Juliet-D, Juliet-P, Kilo, Lima, Mike and November. The Inde field is located in Blocks 49/19 and 49/24 of the United Kingdom Continental Shelf in a water depth of approximately 30 metres.

The platforms were installed and commissioned offshore between 1971 and 1987. The Inde field officially ceased production on 5th July 2005. The facilities have become redundant and have been decommissioned in accordance with the requirements of the Petroleum Act 1998.

Seaway Heavy Lifting Engineering B.V. executed the offshore phase of this removal project using her 5000 mT Heavy Lift Vessel “Oleg Strashnov” and 2500 mT Heavy Lift Vessel “Stanislav Yudin”.
